Scion xB Top Shelf: Overhead Storage Utility Shelf  

We are proud to announce this newest accessory: The Scion xB Top Shelf:

      The Scion xB is now in our list of hosts for our unique accessories! We took the amazingly utilitarian aspect of the now famous Scion "Box", and added a convenient overhead storage shelf to the front of the vehicle. The shelf is approximately 12 inches deep by 48 inches long and can fit items about 4 inches tall. Made of high grade, 11 gauge laser-cut aluminum and  powder coated for durability. The color is platinum gray matching the interior ceiling and pillars beautifully.

   The shelf has half inch lips on the front and side edges to keep stuff from falling off. In addition, on the opposite edge we use a specially designed weather stripping to meet up with the ceiling surface to fully secure your items. The shelf attaches with three brackets shown in the picture above. Below is a picture of the shelf installed:

   Shown below you can see the shelf with the following items neatly stowed out of the way: Sunglasses, Gloves, Bananas, an Apple, Tomatoes, an Avocado, Garlic - we thought we would spice it up a bit!, ...and finally today's bundle of mail! We have also stuck a light-up smiley face on the bottom of the shelf for an extra dome light for the front of the vehicle (shown below). I would imagine you could mount speakers or tweeters up on this shelf also.

   All the hardware you need is included and is of very high quality stainless steel. Specifically designed for ease of installation. It takes about a half hour to install fully and only 3 hand tools are required: a 7/16" open end wrench or pliers, a 3/8" nut driver or pliers would work here as well, and a #2 Philips screwdriver (shown below). Installation is very easy and full instructions are included.
